Privacy Policy & Confidentiality
Last Updated April 24, 2026
At CalRE Appraisals, your privacy is more than a legal requirement; it is a pillar of our professional ethics. As certified appraisers in Los Angeles County, we are bound by the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) and California privacy laws to protect your non-public personal information.
1. Notice at Collection
We collect the following categories of personal information to provide our services:
Identifiers: Name, property address, email address, and phone number.
Property Data: Information regarding the subject property, including interior photos, renovation details, and legal descriptions.

2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected data exclusively for:
Developing and delivering credible appraisal reports.
Communicating regarding your specific assignment.
Fulfilling legal and regulatory requirements (State Board audits or USPAP compliance).
Note on AI: We do not use "Automated Decision-Making Technology" (ADMT) to finalize values. All conclusions are reached by a human, California-certified appraiser.

Per the USPAP Ethics Rule, we do not disclose confidential information or assignment results to anyone other than:
The Client (named in the report).
Persons specifically authorized by the client.
State appraisal enforcement agencies.
Duly authorized professional peer review committees.
Workfile Retention: In accordance with USPAP, we retain appraisal workfiles for a minimum of five (5) years, or at least two (2) years after the final disposition of any judicial proceeding in which the appraiser provided testimony.
4. No Sale or Sharing of Data
CalRE Appraisals does not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third-party marketers. Your data is only shared with service providers (e.g., cloud storage, billing software) who are contractually bound to the same privacy standards we uphold.
5. Your California Privacy Rights
Under the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), you have the right to:
Know what personal information we collect.
Delete personal information (subject to USPAP record-keeping mandates).
Correct inaccurate information.
Opt-out of the sale or sharing of your data (which we do not do by default).
